The Muslim Jewish Forum of Greater Manchester
Established to develop the cultural and social ties between the Muslim and Jewish communities of Greater Manchester

There was an arson attack on the Didsbury Mosque in Manchester last Friday evening, as reported on the BBC News website. It is gratifying how the community came out in solidarity, as reported on the ITV website.
We have issued a short press release reproduced below.
The Muslim Jewish Forum of Greater Manchester is shocked and horrified by the arson attack on Didsbury Mosque in Manchester this weekend.
Such hate crimes seek to intimidate their victims and send the message that the victims are outsiders to our society. Britain’s Jews and Muslims have suffered such crimes all too often.
We are heartened by the widespread condemnation of the attack, showing that the people of Greater Manchester will not allow hate to divide us.
We hope that the perpetrators of this arson attack are brought to justice as soon as possible.
