We entered a team for the fourth time in the Manchester Jewish Rep Council Quiz which was held at the Hilton Suite in Prestwich last Sunday 4 December.
This year the team was Mohammed Amin, Frank Adam, Heather Fletcher, Martyn Fyne, Dr. Jackie Lewis, Tahara Amin, Cllr Rabnawaz Akbar and three newcomers to the team, namely Yasmin Bukhari, Ahmed Ali and Amar Alyas. The team finished 11'th out of 22 teams, which was our lowest position in the last four years. Team captain, Heather Fletcher stated "I am a bad loser so I was not happy with the result but everyone on the table thoroughly enjoyed themselves and lapped up the lively atmosphere, especially the newcomers"
Individually, it was a better evening as Mohammed Amin won a laser printer in the raffle and Martyn Fyne won a raffle prize of luxury make up for his wife Ori.
