For the second year running,fifteen members of the Muslim Jewish Forum of Greater Manchester celebrated the Chinese New Year at a kosher Chinese Restaurant in Prestwich this weekend. The Forum members enjoyed a delicious Chinese banquet and a convivial atmosphere.
Mohammed Amin, Treasurer of the Forum stated "An informal dinner is a great way of getting to know people better and building bridges between communities."
Heather Fletcher, Secretary of the Forum, who organised the event stated "Having a group of Muslim and Jewish people celebrating Chinese New Year together is an excellent way to show that diverse communities can unite and enjoy each others cultures. We will repeat this experience again next year. "
